Child Care, Church Bells, and Rain

My baby would be home any day and we hadn't found a trust-worthy child care provider. The pressure was building and panic was setting in quickly. "Honey, why are so many people turning us down before they even meet us?", my husband said. "I don't get it either", I replied.
The bells were ringing in the back round - it was the church bells, I was sure of it. Still, I felt as if they were ringing just for me, telling me time was running out and I needed to make my move.
A feeling of helplessness arose as the hail bounced of the windshield while I sat in a sea of cars going nowhere fast. Each of us frantically trying to squeeze into each other's lane, just to be an inch closer to our destination. Why are they laughing at me? Do they know something I don't? The rain found it's way into my car, and landed on my cheeks.
To calm myself, I called my husband- "Honey, let's think this through, do we really need childcare? The thunder was so loud, I couldn't hear his response. "Just call me later, I'm busy." Just then, I heard the church bells again. What are they trying to tell me! An hour later I pulled into the parking garage, only instead of being calm, my heart was beating way too fast. As I parked, a sweet memory came over me and I sat in my car to savor each snap-shot that crossed my mind. One by one, they went by faster and faster, till I could no longer recognize them. Immediately, I called my husband again. "Before you hang up again, listen to me!" "What now"? "We don't need child care, I know why people are laughing at us and turning us down!" There was a moment of silence on the phone. Solemnly he replied, 'Because he is 20 years old?"
Those stupid bells! With that I slapped him as hard as I could and opened my eyes.

Just before we went to bed last night, we talked about Justin's upcoming graduation from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and how things were going for Brittany as a pre-school teacher. Britt told us it was raining and we chuckled as we thought we wouldn't miss the rain once we moved to California.
Funny how everything meshes in our dreams. My only problem with this dream, is why did I have to remember that he was 20 while I was still sleeping!

What a hoot! And a dream you actually remembered when you woke up long enough to WRITE it - I have incredible dreams and then cannot remember them when it comes "writin' time" the next morning! Great job. Enjoy!!Hi MJ. Thanks! I remember quite a few of my dreams. I actually have a few dreams where I continue on like a story. I used to freak Art out when we first got married. My emotions come through my dreams. He says I laugh out loud, cry, and get angry. He says the freakest is when I am laughing. I wake myself up often. funny or I really am wierd :-)I remember dreams where I told someone - "no,I don't do that anymore because I belong to Jesus" Also ones where I will speak in Spanish and wake up remembering some vocabulary works I lost in my waking hours eons ago - that part is neat - it is all still in that beain somewhere!
