Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

He will rejoice over you with singing… wow!  How can we ever have a bad day?  To know the Lord of all creation not only saves us, but He rejoices over us!  In spite of who we are - in all of our weakness and sin.  This brings great joy to my heart - especially when the devil comes to remind me of my past.  Satan uses our past to keep us defeated.  He doesn’t want us to remember Scriptures like these.  If this has been an especially tough week, (as it was for my husband and me)  stop and reflect:  Your heavenly Father is not disappointed in you.  He loves you unconditionally.  The only thing He desires is a repentant heart.  If we acknowledge our  sin and come to him in repentance, He will forgive us and renew our soul.  Look back at verse 15: “ the Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy”.   Our enemy is Satan;  He has no authority over those who trust in Christ.  No longer should we wallow in self pitty or sin! We are valuable to Him!  May our hearts be refreshed and our  soul be renewed as we face our day!

Lord,  I am sorry for:

Father,  how humbling and comforting it is to know that you love and save me.  Not only from eternal separation from you, but daily; from myself.  Lift me up out of this pit so that I may hear your sweet voice of love over my life.  Go with me today.  Renew my strength that I may be a positive reflection of who You are.  May I never be too proud to admit when I am wrong.  Cleanse me and make me new today. May I go in the strength of your love.  In the name of Jesus,  Amen

Since God knows the beginning and the end there really is no room for Him to be disappointed or surprised by us and our choices. I love this - Pastor just reminded us this week that God is never disappointed in us.

You are absolutely correct. We have to remember that his love in unconditional, but with this love comes discipline and I think were we go wrong is that we sometimes confuse the two. And other times, we abuse this love by thinking we can live contrary to his commandments. Thank you for sharing. Blessings! T
