Coming Out of the Dark: My SearchWarp Mug and Other Stuff

A little over one year ago, we packed up our belongings and moved to California. During this time, life has been interesting and challenging - who knew it would take so long to feel settled?
Among the many things missed, were the times I spent writing and teaching. Some of you may be thinking, "Who is this chick, is she a new member of SearchWarp"? Or, you might be thinking, "Dang, I thought she was gone for good". And maybe (hopefully) a few of you are happy when I sporadically stopped by over the past year.
Anyway, the time has arrived! We are in our own home again!! Over the past week, I have tried not to complain about all of moving and unpacking, the late hours and lack of sleep, or even the big bruise I have on my knee from slamming into the corner of my bed frame. Instead I am smiling and singing while thinking, I thought I threw this junk away before we left Oregon? And then came time to unpack the best room of all; the office.
What had been in the dark for so long - wrapped in swaddling clothes...Oops wrong story... wrapped in a piece of newspaper dated October 24, 2009, was my beloved SearchWarp mug. Excitingly, I moved deeper into the box! Everything belonging on my desk. AHH! I took a deep breath and glanced around the room. Though surrounded by clutter, I suddenly felt settled.
Now that I can be up and around at all hours of night, I can get back to doing what I love as often as I want - no worries of waking others. I'm so grateful that in the past few months I have been able to teach and write Bible studies; which is my first love, but now I have the added bonus of being able to write about everything else.
God has blessed me beyond measure; I have learned so many things - things I would have never learned any other way than being exactly where I have been in the last 15 months, 12 days, three hours, and two minutes. I might be off on the hours and minutes, but whose counting.
Many of these things I will share now that I have the time. My hope and prayer as always is that in some small way I can give hope and encouragement to at least one person.
All this to say, my SearchWarp mug has come out of the dark and is filled to the rim...and so am I.
Don't be silly, I washed it first.
Blessings to you! Teresa

It's amazing sometimes that things happen for unknown and scary reasons --or so it seems to us in the beginning. But it turns out that it was all for a very good reason indeed and and we learn things we never thought we would. I'm glad you're happy and ready to do some serious writing.
