You Could Dance with the Stars....or You Could Dance with Me

As I worked out this morning (I will write about this later), I was thinking about the show, Dancing with the Stars and how I cannot watch it because, well, because I am just plain jealous. (This is another article in the works.)
I don't know what it is but music and dancing have been at the forefront of my mind for over a month. It's been fun and has brought a smile or two to my face, but it hasn't satisfied – not that I expected it to, but I do appreciate the happiness I have had because of it.
This week has been great in that I have a lot of time to catch up on some reading and chatting with old friends. To my surprise, I came across a poem written by a friend of mine, which had me laughing aloud at the timing of it all. The title – Dance with Me – God, you are too funny – I think to myself.
I was so blessed by this poem, I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. (Thank you Lisa!)
Dance with Me
Dance with Me, the King of kings,
Soar with Me, on eagles wings, sing
with Me, with angelic voices, for I have
given you wonderful choices.
Glide with Me, in visions, and dreams, like
Skater's so effortlessly, there is nothing
impossible with Me, only if you have faith,
to believe.
Endlessly I call you, in dreams, and visions
of the night, I open your ears, to hear instructions,
and seal My plans, in My sight.
Only believe, only believe, and dance with Me,
the King of kings, soar with Me, on eagles wings,
sing with Me, with angelic voices, for I have given
you wonderful choices.

I was speechless as I finished reading – I know, big shock – I'm just as surprised.
What an invitation! The God of all creation invites us to dance with Him – not only through this life – but also for all eternity.
How can we go wrong if we allow Him to do the leading – and just think, He won't step on our toes.
If I am very quiet, I can hear his still small voice saying, "You could dance with the stars…or you could dance with Me".
To this I say, yes, Lord – I will dance with You and be satisfied.
