This morning I am reminded of the many people who are still unsure of what life is all about. Why am I here? What is my purpose? What happens to me when I die?

I am not the first person to help provide some answers, nor will I be the last.  However, what I offer today are not my thoughts on the purpose of life, but rather, I offer the words of Jesus Himself.

Sometimes we already know the answer, but we need a fresh reminder - I know I do.

As always, my hope and prayer is that all who read will be refreshed in their spirit.

I encourage you to take every word personally, you are not an accident. If you are on this earth, God thought of you before its foundation. He created you with a purpose and has an amazing plan for your life and He desires a relationship with you. All you need to do is answer the call.

"These things I have spoken to you… that your joy may be full"  John 15:15

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life"  John 5:24

"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out"  John 6:37

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water"  John 7:37-38

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."  John 8:12

"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."  John 10:9-10

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one."  John 10:27-30

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am , there you may be also. John 14:1-3

"If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17

"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  John 15:12-14

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith – the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9

Hang these Scriptures on the door of your heart, take them in, walk in them and may they bring encouragement to your soul and cause you to seek to know Jesus in a deeper way.
